Annual Plan Submissions - released 13/05/08 (pdf 69kb)
Over two hundred and sixty submissions were received to Council’s 2008/09 Annual Plan, which closed on Wednesday 7 May.  Eighty of these submissions related to the change in the Alexandra Ward boundary, which affected three hundred and forty properties previously in the Earnscleugh Ward. The change in ward boundaries was due to the Local Government Commission’s ruling on electoral boundaries.

Cromwell Swim Centre Redevelopment Gets Sign Off - released 24/04/08 (pdf 72kb)
Yesterday Council staff were delighted to receive the sign off for the Code of Compliance Certificate for the Cromwell Swim Centre redevelopment.

Utilities Maintenance Contract - released 4/04/08 (pdf 64kb)
At its meeting on 2 April 2008 Council approved the award of its Utilities Infrastructure Maintenance Contract to Delta Utilities Services Ltd.  The contract includes the operation and maintenance of all Council owned water/wastewater/stormwater networks and treatment facilities.

District Plan to become Operative - released 27/03/08 (pdf 85kb)
At its meeting on 27 February the Planning and Environment Committee of the Central Otago District Council resolved that the Central Otago District Plan will become operative on 1 April 2008.

Retaining Wall Gets Revamp - released 14/03/08 (pdf
Good news, from a decision to action.  The Clutha Management Committee agreed to allocate $10,000 towards fixing the retaining wall near the Alexandra boat ramp at its meeting last month.

Additional Parking locations for Motor Caravans - released 14/03/08 (pdf 80kb)
With the expected size of the rally in mind, local community boards have approved temporary additional parking for NZMCA members so they can take the opportunity to experience our ‘World of Difference’.

Voting is about to get underway in the by-elections to fill a vacancy on the Maniototo Community Board and the Alexandra Ward of the Vincent Community Board.
