Proposal to Lease Part of Roxburgh Recreation ReserveNotice pursuant to Section 54(2) Reserves Act 1977.
The Central Otago District Council, acting as administering body of the Roxburgh recreation reserve hereby gives notice that subject to the prior consent of the Minister of Conservation, it proposes to grant a lease to Roxburgh Community Events Centre Incorporated for recreational purposes under s.54(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977, for a term of thirty three (33) years commencing from 1 July 2010.
Any person or persons wishing to make a submission for or against the proposal may do so by notice in writing addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Central Otago District Council, P O Box 122, Alexandra. Any such submission must be clearly identified with the wording “Submission – Roxburgh Recreation Reserve” on the outside of the envelope and received at the offices of the Central Otago District Council, Dunorling Street, Alexandra no later than noon, Friday 9th April 2010.

Approximately 4.7500 ha more or less subject to survey being part of Section 181 Block II Teviot Survey District comprised in CFR OT 15C/974, or more particularly the existing sports ground lying between the Roxburgh Golf Club clubhouse and Grovers Road and including the adjacent ridge area east of the sports ground, but excluding those areas occupied by the golf club’s No. 9 tee and the Agricultural and Pastoral Society pavilion.

Proposed Exchange of Reserve LandPursuant to Section 15(2) Reserves Act 1977, notice is hereby given of the Council’s intention to enter into an exchange of lands with Goldline Exploration Limited. The exchange will result in the acquisition of land enabling an extension of Eclipse Street to facilitate Council’s access to the Alexandra borefield and water treatment station. The exchange will also regularise and legalise a boundary anomaly between the Alexandra town belt and the freehold property owned by Goldline Exploration Limited.
Land to be exchanged and granted by Council to Goldline Exploration Limited:
Legal Description: Part Town Belt of Alexandra, shown “2” on the plan below.
Area: Approximately 1980 square metres more or less (subject to survey).
Title: Contained in Computer Freehold Register OT18C/571.
Status: Crown-derived reserve classified for recreation purposes by NZ Gazette 2006 page 2597 and vested in Central Otago District Council under s.26A Reserves Act 1977.
Physical Location: End of Boundary Road, Alexandra.
Land to be exchanged and granted by Goldline Exploration Limited to Council:
Legal Description: Part Lot 11 Deposited Plan 26335, shown as “1” on the plan below.
Area: Approximately 875 square metres more or less (subject to survey)
Title: Contained in Computer Freehold Register OT18B/652.
Status: Estate in fee-simple.
Physical Location: End of Eclipse Street, Alexandra.
The plan below (for illustration purposes only) depicts the land proposed to be exchanged, with Council offering that land identified as “2” in exchange for the land identified as “1”
Any person wishing to object to the proposed exchange may do so by lodging an objection addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Central Otago District Council, P O Box 122, Alexandra 9340, to be received no later than noon, Friday, 9th April 2010. Dated at Alexandra this 9th day of March 2010.
