The Maniototo County Council created an independent charitable trust known as the Community Trust of Maniototo in April 1974. The Community Trust of Maniototo fund is administered by trustees.
The Maniototo Trust Fund is derived from income received from the sale of the Otago Power Shares in October 2002 that has been invested. The fund is administered by the Maniototo Community Board.
The Maniototo Trust Fund helps organisations only and grants must be for a capital purpose. The Community Trust of Maniototo assists individuals and groups and will give grants for events, administration and other day-to-day activities.
The Community Trust of Maniototo meet with Maniototo Community Board representatives. Trustees work in partnership to call for applications and hold a joint funding distribution meeting twice a year in June and December.
Applications for the next funding round close at 5pm on Wednesday 15 May 2019
