Waste Minimisation
Council supports a wide variety of learning opportunities and initiatives that will help us move towards a more sustainable community and environment.
Enviroschools

Since 2009 Central Otago District Council has funded Enviroschools, a nationally facilitated programme which involves a commitment from the whole school and school community to the Enviro principles. The Enviroschools Programme fosters students and school staff into a sense of place, connection with, and action in, both the natural and built environment. It involves children in hands-on experiences and actions where they can make a positive difference to their own environments.
