Current Road Closures due to flooding

16 November

- Auripo Road CLOSED due to flooding between Thurlow and Boundary Roads

Jedburgh Street Bridge Strengthening, Roxburgh

Friday 16 October

The Jedburgh Bridge in Roxburgh will reopen to traffic from later today as scheduled.

We can now confirm that there will be another closure of the bridge from Wednesday 5 December to Friday 7 December. This is to allow contractors to jack the bridge up to replace bearing pads.

Following that we don't envisage any further full closures, but rather just single lane traffic restrictions on the bridge.

Thanks again community - your continued patience is appreciated.

Here's a wee pic showing progress from the last 3 days.

4WD Track Conditions

Serpentine Track Vehicle Access

This public 4WD track, on the Rough Ridge mountains off the Old Dunstan Road, is not maintained and is currently in very poor condition. Council urges extreme caution on this track and stresses that it should not be used for single vehicle travel, but by groups of experienced 4WDers in convoy with full recovery gear carried at all times.
