Council Operations under orange traffic light
UPDATE Wednesday 13 April 2022:
At 11.59pm on Wednesday 13 April 2022, all of New Zealand moves to the Orange traffic light system.
Not a lot changes for the Council or the public but here's some key points:
-You must wear a mask when visiting our i-Sites, libraries and service centres
-Masks are not required at our pools
-We encourage you to maintain physical distance when you visit our facilities, but there are no capacity limits at orange.
Other key points under orange:
-You must wear a face mask in many indoor locations. You do not need to wear a face mask outdoors.
-Keep workplaces safe by following the guidelines in the poster below
-Keep 1 metre apart in indoor settings. Note: Specified limits are based on 1 metre distancing, which means 1 metre square of space for each person (the number of people is limited by the space available). It does not mean people must remain 1 metre apart from others.
What you need to know is on the Covid 19 website: https://covid19.govt.nz/traffic-lights/life-at-orange/
My Vaccine Pass
From 5 April 2022 vaccine passes have not been not required at any CODC-operated facilities including pools, libraries and i-SITES.
Be prepared
We encourage everyone in our community to be prepared. Take the time to look at the advice on the Unite against COVID-19 page: Be prepared for COVID-19 | Unite against COVID-19 (covid19.govt.nz) and make a plan.
