Wilding conifer operation delayed at Sugar Loaf

UPDATE FROM SUGAR LOAF - Monday 20 June 2022
The 45th Parallel Loop Track at the Sugar Loaf Scenic Reserve near Cromwell will be open over the Matariki weekend, from 4 pm today (Thursday 23 June) until 8 am Monday 27 June. It is otherwise closed between 20 June and 1 July while a wilding conifer removal operation is taking place for Health and Safety reasons, to enable the contractors to undertake the tree removal work without endangering the public.
