Proposal to stop and sell unformed legal road, off Tarras-Cromwell
Date of Notice: 25 January 2024
Pursuant to Section 342, and the Tenth Schedule, of the Local Government Act 1974, the Central Otago District Council hereby gives notice of its intention to stop and sell 0.0453 hectares of unformed legal road as described below in the First Schedule.
The land described in the First Schedule is not required for current or future roading purposes and is to be stopped, sold, and amalgamated with Section 1636R Block III Tarras Survey District.
The continuity of any existing rights and/or services will be protected and preserved by the registration of easements on the resulting title(s).
First Schedule (Road to be Stopped):
Section 1 Survey Office Plan 598456, being 0.0453 hectares more or less.
From Thursday 25 January 2024 a copy of SO Plan 598456 (as approved by the Surveyor General, Land Information New Zealand and as shown below), may be inspected at the Council Office, 1 Dunorling Street, Alexandra, during normal business hours, or viewed online at codc.govt.nz/your-council/consultations.
Objections to the proposal, giving grounds for the objection, must be made by any person claiming to be affected.

Such objections must be received by Council no later than 5pm on 9 March 2024.
