Central Otago District Council Covid-19 - Local Community Information

With New Zealand moving to Alert Level 2 from Thursday 14 May, our service delivery will be changing too. We will be taking a staged approach, following the national guideline to "Play it Safe".

We will be transitioning our services to Alert Level 2 operations as and when we can ensure it is done safely for both our staff and community. That is our number one priority.

  • Council Service Centres in Alexandra, Cromwell, Ranfurly and Roxburgh reopen on Monday 18 May
  • Central Otago Libraries will reopen from Monday 18 May.
  • Swim Centres will reopen on Tuesday 19 May.

For more detail please refer to our Council Services under Alert Level 2 page.

As many of our Council staff will continue to work remotely at Level 2 to allow for greater physical distancing within our open-plan office environment, we ask you to phone us in the first instance to speak to someone or book an appointment if you wish to meet with a council staff member.
