I have lived in Cromwell since 2002. I am married to Craig and we have three adult sons. I am Principal of Goldfields Primary School and I love living and working in Cromwell.
Cromwell was a great place to raise my children and provided them with freedom and opportunities that they wouldn't have had in a city.
I am really keen to see growth in Cromwell planned for in a managed way so that we retain what makes our community special for future generations. The Cromwell Masterplan is an excellent starting point to make this happen and I am really keen to see this through to the implementation phase.
I feel very privileged to be representing Cromwell for a second term on the Community board. I bring a balanced point of view to our board, I am open, honest and hardworking.

I am passionate about living in and looking after Cromwell and our amazing community.
During my first term I have worked hard for the benefit of our town, learning a great deal in the process. The Cromwell Masterplan is an achievement I am particularly proud of, and I consider my expertise in town planning, and concern for genuine community consultation to have been greatly beneficial in this process. The Masterplan sets the road map for our community's aspirations and is the backbone for decisions made in the future.
I am involved in many aspects of our dynamic community - including various trusts, societies, school activities and sports clubs with my young boys.
I am honoured to have the opportunity to further represent Cromwell on the Community Board, ensuring our town grows sustainably, with quality infrastructure and well-informed decision-making.

Hi, my name is Tony Buchanan, or Buck to the ones that know me. My parents moved to this community in the early 1970s with one girl and four boys into the Achil Street Dairy and milk run. From that day on we became fixtures of this community as our parents became involved in this town and all it had to offer.
In my younger years I kept busy being the milk run boy in the morning and playing golf after school. Golf became my passion in my teenage years taking me all over the country playing golf for New Zealand.
Later my working life took over starting off as a green keeper then a farm musterer before taking an interest in trucks. Eventually I bought my own truck and progressed to owing my own trucking company. During this time I had a great passion for the community I was living in, becoming involved in many sporting activities from being a volunteer firefighter to playing rugby and racing speedway, at the same time joining the committees of these activities to make sure they thrived. As my three lads grew I become involved in all the activities they enjoyed as well, showing them what a great community we live in.
After 47 years in this town I am still a farm musterer as well as still having a trucking company, but I feel that I have much to offer this community I grew up in from watching and listening to what is going on in this town. So I stood for Cromwell Community Board to help our communities' views to be heard, so our town can grow and flourish for the next generation of Cromwellians. So together hopefully we can make this happen.

My day job sees me employed as a Community Relations & Projects Manager with Contact Energy at the Clyde Dam - part of the electricity industry that I've worked in since leaving school in 1978.
I have a passion for Cromwell and the Central Otago district along with a strong commitment to their ongoing growth and prosperity. I was born in Cromwell and am privileged to have been "back home" since 1985 and, along with Joy, raise our four children here.
I've been a member of the Cromwell Community Board since 1998 and was elected the Chairman in 2001.
Other interests include being the Deputy Chief Fire Officer with the Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigade and I'm the Secretary of the Clyde & Districts Emergency Rescue Trust. I am also a member and past president of the Wanaka Rodeo Club and a Trustee of the New Zealand Rodeo Cowboys Association.
My extensive experience in the electricity industry and local government together with my other community interests has enabled me to develop an understanding of communities and I'm committed to understanding all views and ensuring they are considered in the decision-making process.

I am married with five children (including three school-aged step-children), was born in Dunedin and educated at Kaikorai Valley High School.
I have spent much of my working life in the finance and family budget sectors, but now work for an award-winning Cromwell winery.
I have been a Cromwell ratepayer for 20 years and was a resident for five, before standing for the Cromwell Ward in 2019.
My policy priorities are - affordable rates, more green and recreational spaces, a family-friendly policy focus, improving Lake Dunstan, and a much greater emphasis upon recycling and environmental initiatives.
I am an active gym-goer as well as a member of the Fine Thyme Theatre Company and the Belles entertainment troupe. I am an appointed CODC representative on the Cromwell Community Board.

I live in Bannockburn and, with my wife Pauline, own and operate GATE 20 TWO Vineyard.
I have wide experience in manufacturing and retail, have served on several national trade organisations, and belonged for four years to the Small Business Advisory Group, set up in 2002 to advise Cabinet on small business.
I have also served on community groups and am a past president of Dunedin's Fortune Theatre.
This is my third term on Council and my fourth on the Cromwell Community Board.
I believe strongly in the Cromwell district and in Central Otago. Promoting economic progress, and the cost and efficiency of local government are areas of interest.
For relaxation I enjoy reading, bridge, gardening and tennis.

Originally from the U.K, my wife Jill and I have been in New Zealand since 2004.
I worked as an Executive Director in the air conditioning industry developing marketing software before a change of career led to me running my own company as a kitchen designer and installer.
Cromwell is an amazing place to live with a wide range of sporting and outdoor pursuits in a wonderful environment.
Our community is embarking on a period of unprecedented growth and I want to ensure that we create a place where its younger members will feel privileged to live and work. This growth needs to be managed so that the community retains a family friendly dynamic.
I believe that I can help to do this by ensuring that we retain the greenways and open spaces that define Cromwell, and by working to enhance the availability of arts and cultural facilities.
I like to relax by playing golf and I enjoy watching Formula 1 motor racing.
