Council Offices & Service Centres
The Alexandra Council Office, Cromwell and Ranfurly service centres will close at 12noon Friday 23 December 2022 and reopen at 8.30am on Wednesday 4 January 2023.
The Roxburgh Service Centre, being also a library and i-SITE, will be closed 24, 25, 26 & 27 December 2022, open 28, 29 & 30 December, closed 31 December and closed 1, 2 & 3 January 2023. Normal hours resume 4 January.

Central Otago Libraries
ALEXANDRA and CROMWELL
Alexandra and Cromwell libraries will be open as usual on Saturday 24 December 2022.
All Central Otago District Libraries will be closed on the statutory holidays 25, 26 and 27 December and 1, 2 and 3 January 2023. They will resume their usual hours from Wednesday 4 January.
The libraries will be open as usual on the non-stat days of 28, 29, 30 and 31 December.

ROXBURGH
Roxburgh Library (i-SITE/service centre) is closed 24, 25,26, 27 December; open 28, 29, 30 December, closed 31 December through to 3 January 2023 and open 4 January.
Omakau School and Community Library will be closed all holidays. All other libraries will be open for their usual opening hours outside of those dates listed above.

Kerbside Collections
Due to the public holidays over the festive season, regular kerbside collections days may change. Transfer Stations and Recycling Drop-offs
If you're local or travelling through, see details of your nearest transfer station and recycling drop-off points.
For recycling containers and drop off containers, go to the same page but note there will be additional glass drop off bins at Whitby St, Clyde from Wednesday 21 December 2022 and at Lua Street, Naseby (next to the bowling club carpark) from Monday 19 December 2022, until early February 2023.
If you are travelling through the district and have bagged waste and/or recycling to get rid of, please go to the nearest transfer station or recycling drop off to your route as above.

Planning and Regulatory Services
Land Information Memorandum (LIMs) will resume 10 January 2023.
Planning: Under the Resource Management Act 1991 the statutory clock stops on 20 December and restarts on 10 January 2023. The Planning team continues to receive and work on resource consents up to Friday 23 December and recommences Wednesday 4 January 2023.
Building: Under the Building Act 2004 the statutory clock stops on 20 December 2022 and restarts on 10 January 2023. The Building team continues to receive and work on consents up to Friday 23 December and recommences on Thursday 5 January. The last day for Building Inspections will be Friday 23 December and these will begin again on Thursday 5 January 2023.
LIMs: Standard LIM applications need to have been submitted by 8 December and urgent LIM applications by 15 December.
And don't forget, it's important to make sure building/resource consent applications have all the necessary information. If not, the application may not be accepted, or processing may be suspended until the information is provided.
