CO Awards Finalists announced

The finalists, Community Service Award recipients and winner of the Young Professional Award have been announced in this year's Central Otago Awards.

The Awards are presented biennially to businesses and individuals that make a difference in their communities and showcase Central Otago values. 

"We are highly delighted to again be honouring those wonderful businesses and individuals who exemplify our regional values in their everyday lives," says CODC Regional Identity Manager Shirley Howden.

"The awards are a fabulous opportunity to celebrate how people are making a difference, contributing and achieving great things in both business and community. We have an amazingly talented line-up of people who epitomise what Central Otago is all about," Ms Howden says.

This year there are four finalists in the Business Excellence Award category. They are the Bannockburn Hotel – Wine Country Restaurant & Bar (Bannockburn), Misha's Vineyard (Bendigo), Radiance Skin and Day Spa (Cromwell) and Flow Space Yoga and Wellness Centre (Alexandra).

There are two finalists in the Youth category – Finlay Russel (Alexandra) and Abby Golden (Alexandra).

Viticulturalist Annabel Bulk (Bannockburn) is announced as the winner of the Young Professional Award.

Four Community Service Award recipients are also announced. They are Alex Gordon (Roxburgh), Brigette Paterson (Roxburgh), Rose Jefcoate (Alexandra) and Barry Becker (Oturehua).  In different ways, all have given exceptional service to their communities.

The Central Otago Awards ceremony will be held on 6 September at the Roxburgh Entertainment Centre. The winners of the Business and Youth Awards categories will be announced at the ceremony, and Community Service Award recipients and Young Professional Award winner, Annabel Bulk, will be presented with their awards. Friends, family and special guests are invited to attend.
