Paws up, who’s ready to party?

10 April 2018

Molyneux Aquatic Centre is gearing up for a pool party this weekend that's set to get tails wagging.

The second Soggy Doggy Splash will take place at the centre's outdoor pool on Sunday from 11am-2pm.  The event is a fundraiser for the local SPCA.

The inaugural event was held back in October 2017 as part of Thyme Festival's opening weekend and was a huge hit. Dog owners were raving about it on behalf of their canine companions with one of the participants saying it was "pawsome"!

There will be two sessions this time around.  Small to medium dogs are first up from 11am-12pm, followed by medium to large dogs from 1-1pm. In between sessions there will be a fundraising sausage sizzle.

Entry is $10 per dog, with all proceeds going to the SPCA.  There will be a maximum number of dogs per session so participants are asked to register and pay at the SPCA Op Shop on Limerick Street in Alexandra to be sure there dog makes the guest list!  If not fully subscribed registrations will be available on the day.

The event is for neutered dogs only. Puppies under the age of 6 months that haven't been neutered can come to the small to medium dogs session.
