Teviot Valley Business Register for Lake Onslow Feasibility Study
The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has commissioned a study into the feasibility of a pumped hydro scheme at Lake Onslow.
The feasibility study is part of the first phase of the NZ Battery Project, which will investigate pumped hydro and other possible energy storage solutions for NZ’s dry year electricity problem.
Those involved are keen to make sure that local businesses have the opportunity to supply goods and services to the project, so the Roxburgh Teviot Valley Business Network and CODC are working with MBIE to create a business directory. It will be a reference to encourage contractors working on the project to ‘buy local’.
