External Stakeholder Group members confirmed
Central Otago District Council has confirmed the membership of an external stakeholder group for the design phase of the Cromwell Memorial Hall/Events Centre Project.
The External Stakeholder Group has been established to ensure that a cross-section of views from the community continues to be heard and taken into account as the design phase of the project continues.
Invitations were extended to five organisations to be represented on that group and the following people have been chosen to represent their respective organisations.
- Jessie Sutherland, Cromwell Cultural Centre Trust
- Jennifer Hay, Cromwell Museum
- Mark O’Connor Cromwell Town & Country Club
- Katie Lindsay, Fine Thyme Theatre Company
- Denis Ryan, Cromwell RSA
Cromwell Masterplan Project Manager Darren Penketh thanked the representatives for making a commitment to the project.
“Between them the five reps bring a lot of experience as well as enthusiasm to the table. Their role will be to gather and distil community views and provide their relevant expertise to make ongoing recommendations to the Project Advisory Group regarding the design.”
The group will get together for its initial meeting early December, when it is hoped the outcome of the design tender process will be known. The tender period closed on 1 November for submissions and is currently going through the tender evaluation process covered in Council’s Procurement Policy.
