District-wide grants decisions for Central Otago
Community funding has helped support more than $1 million worth of projects in the latest funding round, which were decided at the Central Otago District Council meeting yesterday (Wednesday 28 August 2024).
A total of eight applications were received, requesting a total of $166,872, which showed a high demand for social, economic, environmental and cultural projects.
Six groups and organisations received grants, with a total of $151,000 to distribute in the 2024/2025 financial year in the district wide community grants scheme. There will be no second round of community grant applications for the 2024/25 financial year.
