Te Puna Mahara Opening Weekend Celebrations
Saturday 18 July - Community Gala Day
Celebrate the public opening of Te Puna Mahara - Cromwell Memorial Events Centre with a vibrant day of community, creativity and entertainment.
The doors will open at 10am sharp, followed by a full programme of performances, demonstrations, family activities and opportunities to explore the new facility.
Visitors will be able to experience the auditorium, cinema, Te Huika Wai - Cromwell Museum and event spaces while enjoying live entertainment and interactive activities throughout the day. Awa Café | Bar | Eatery will be open, as will the inaugural exhibition (details to be announced soon).
Whether you're a local resident, visitor, arts lover or simply curious about the new centre, this is a chance to see the building come alive and discover the many ways it will serve the community in the years ahead.

Sunday 19 July - Open House Tours
Spend a relaxed Sunday discovering the stories, design and possibilities behind Te Puna Mahara - Cromwell Memorial Events Centre.
Free guided tours will provide an opportunity to explore the venue's key spaces, learn about the project's development, and gain insight into how the centre will support arts, culture, events and community life across Central Otago.
Tour participants will have access to areas throughout the venue, including the auditorium, cinema, Te Huika Wai | Cromwell Museum, community rooms and public gathering spaces. This is an ideal opportunity for residents, community groups, schools, businesses and visitors to become familiar with the new facility and imagine how they might use it in future.
