Request for Proposal - Alexandra Library Refurbishment
Project Introduction
This refurbishment of the Alexandra Library aims to provide a modern space where the community can come together, connect, improve their social wellbeing, and utilise all of the traditional library services.
Why should you bid?
This is a unique opportunity for a contractor to be brought into this renovation project early, during the detailed design phase. This approach is taken to ensure that the construction phase runs without delays so that the Library's closure is kept to a minimum. Another aim of this early contractor engagement is to benefit from valued contractor input at the design stage rather than during construction which can lead to contract variations.
This project has a significant community benefit. Libraries are integral to our community's wellbeing, which a contractor can be proud to be associated with.

Expression of Interest for Private Property Work Associated with Clyde Wastewater Upgrade
Central Otago District Council is connecting approximately 200 properties to a reticulated wastewater system in Clyde.
Council will construct lateral pipes on private properties and clean and disinfect the septic tanks. Property owners are responsible for decommissioning septic tanks, and for reinstating hard surfaces.
Property owners have asked council to provide a list of local contractors who are able to be contracted by property owners to undertake work for them.
The work will typically require the septic tank to be punctured and backfilled or removed depending on the property owner’s preference. Reinstatement work includes concrete, pavers, asphalt, and chip seal.
Central Otago District Council invites expressions of interest from contractors who are interested in being included on this list. Residents will engage listed contractors directly, and council will not provide endorsement of any business.
