Make a difference in Central Otago
• Leading strategic thinking for the future success of Central Otago
• Lifestyle benefits with a challenging role
Are you looking for the next step in your career? Are you a self-starter with a passion for influencing strategy and policy that will have a positive impact on the future of Central Otago?
Central Otago is a beautiful, proud and thriving region that is brimming with opportunity. To rise to all of the challenges (things like water allocation, access to seasonal workers, and housing affordability) and opportunities (such as being a desirable place to live and a flourishing wine economy), we are looking to recruit a Top Gun in strategy and policy to help us realise our potential and navigate the path to success.
You will be someone who can think on your feet, make order out of chaos, communicates naturally and genuinely, is comfortable with ambiguity and is comfortable forging a path without a GPS.
You will have a sound strategy and policy experience, a high-level of political acumen, and be someone who earns people’s trust and confidence.
Most importantly, you will be someone who has a can-do attitude and the necessary personal skills get to solutions that work, even when you don’t know the answer yourself. And, we hope it goes without saying, you will be absolutely committed to making a world of difference in our piece of paradise.
If you are a team player, motivated to deliver great community outcomes, and enjoy a team that loves a laugh and good banter, then we would love to hear from you.
