PARKING ON GREEN SPACES - big No, No
As you may be aware the Council has ambassadors out about on Central Otago streets at the moment educating people about how and where they are parking and reminding them of how long they can park.
We’ve also been noticing a number of vehicles, trailers caravans and boats parked on Council reserves and greenways. This is an offence under the Reserves Act and not permitted for a couple of good reasons; It can cause issues with irrigation and creates maintenance difficulties, along with safety concerns and also spoils the visual amenity of a reserve or greenway. We ask the public to be mindful of this and considerate of other people’s enjoyment, and also the ability of Council staff to look after our green spaces.
