Help protect our water supplies this summer
Summer puts the greatest demand on our water supplies, and a Super El Niño could make things more challenging, bringing hotter, drier conditions as well as some heavy rainfall.
Council’s water supplies have daily limits on how much water can be taken. Heavy rain can also affect water quality and slow down water treatment, making it harder to produce enough water to meet demand.
As we head into summer, water restrictions may be needed to help manage demand and protect our supplies.
