Special Alcohol Licence Applications

If you are planning an event requiring a special licence to sell or supply alcohol, remember that applications must be lodged at least 20 working days before the event under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. Weekends and the period from 20 December 2026 to 15 January 2027 are not counted as working days.

The District Licensing Committee may consider late applications only in exceptional circumstances, where the need for a special licence could not reasonably have been foreseen earlier.
