Explore Otago's climate future with a new interactive tool from ORC
Otago Regional Council (ORC) has launched an interactive online resource showing how climate change could affect different parts of our region in the years ahead, from the mountains to the sea.
The Otago Climate Story: Ki Uta Ki Tai draws on the 2021 Otago Climate Change Risk Assessment and includes a dedicated summary for Central Otago, alongside information for the wider region. It looks at how a changing climate could affect our environment, towns and communities, and what's being done to prepare.
The tool was developed with mana whenua and Otago's territorial authorities, and weaves in Kāi Tahu cultural narratives and mātauranga Māori.
