Change of address or ownership
If you change address you need to notify Council to enable us to reunite you and your loved one (if they were to take themselves for a walk), but also to avoid any fines for not updating your details. If you buy or sell a dog you must also notify Council within 14 days. This can be done via the online form HERE.

*Classifications for working dogs are detailed in the Dog Control Act. If you consider your dog meets the definition, contact Council and we will verify this. Please note working dogs does not include those that 'go to work with you' or are 'used for hunting' etc. Any working dog status will be checked to ensure it meets the Dog Control Act definitions.
