To help reduce inspection wait times, Council is partnering with another Building Consent Authority to offer remote building inspections starting mid-June. Remote inspections will be offered at Council's discretion, as not all inspections will be eligible.
Key Requirements
- The person on-site must be able to safely access and
clearly show the work
- Approved building consent documents must be on-site
- Reliable internet connection or mobile data coverage
- A follow-up on-site inspection may still be required
- Additional photos or videos may be requested
Customers are encouraged to carefully read all inspection reports and follow any instructions or requirements identified by the inspector.
