Alexandra Community Centre and Memorial Theatre

The Alexandra Community Centre is Central Otago's largest venue for visiting as well as locally produced shows and orchestras.
Located on Skird Street, right in the heart of Alexandra's town centre, the facility comprises of a large auditorium, with seating for up to 357. The auditorium includes an orchestra pit, stage, dressing rooms, storage areas, toilets, as well as a ticket and shop kiosk in the foyer.
The centre also houses a 210m function room, which is ideal for holding functions, meetings and community events. Also within the complex is the Alexandra Senior Citizens rooms and a large well equipped kitchen also available for hire.
Central Otago District Council Meeting Rooms, Alexandra

Within Council's main offices in the William Fraser Building we have three meeting rooms available for full-day and half-day hire - Ngā Hau e Whā (Council Chambers), the Conference Room and the Bill McIntosh meeting room.
Council chambers (pictured) feature modern multi-functional furniture and improved information technology capability.

Room capacities
- Ngā Hau e Whā (Council Chambers): approx. 50 (seated);
flexibility to have the room set up in boardroom, theatre and classroom style - Bill McIntosh meeting room: approx. 20 (seated)
- Alexandra Conference Room: 10-15 (seated)

Central Stories Meeting Room and Theatre
The meeting room and theatre within this centrally located building located on Pioneer Park are available to be booked as a unit only, not separately.
The meeting room capacity is 45 people and has 3 tables, 45 chairs, a water urn, stove, dishwasher and fridge. Crockery in the kitchenette is owned by the Alexandra District Museum Incorporated and they can be contacted directly on 03 448 6230 or enquiries@centralstories.com if a room hirer wishes to use this.
The theatre has a maximum of 45 people permitted and seats 40. The theatre's sound and cinema equipment is owned and only to be operated by the Central Cinema Group Incorporated To hire the group's equipment and technical operator please contact the group directly on 03 448 6725 or info@centralcinema.co.nz.

Molyneux Stadium
Molyneux Stadium is a multi-purpose indoor facility conveniently located in Molyneux Park off Centennial Avenue, Alexandra. Built in the 1960s from funds raised from the Alexandra Blossom Festival, the stadium is Central Otago's main indoor recreation venue.
The stadium is made up of a gymnasium with a timber sprung floor popular for gymnastics and marked out for badminton, basketball (undersized) and volleyball. There is also an expansive spectator viewing area on the second floor giving both spectators and supporters a bird's eye view of the action below. Other features of the building are extensive changing facilities and a large kitchen ideally set up for events.
With ample parking, as well as sports grounds and a swimming pool complex nearby, the facility makes a great place to organise your next sporting event. Combine this with the fact that the Dunstan High School gymnasium is also close by, the two facilities offer significant opportunities for staging large events.
