Bannockburn Coronation Hall and Church

Located on Hall Road Bannockburn, 8 minutes from Cromwell.

The Hall seats 100. It has a raised stage in the main hall, a modern kitchen, toilet, shower and meeting room.

The Church will hold up to 100 with some people standing.

The Hall and Church are owned by the Bannockburn community and managed by the Bannockburn Community Centre Management Committee Inc.

Cromwell Memorial Hall - CLOSED - under development in 2022

Located on Melmore Terrace, on the shores of Lake Dunstan, is Cromwell's Memorial Hall, which is dedicated to those fallen in the two World Wars. Built in the 1950s by the community, the facility consists of a large main hall with stage, two dressing rooms, a large supper room with kitchen and a servery, toilets, and a foyer area with ticket and shop kiosks and a small-bore rifle shooting range. The hall caters for up to 330 people. Cromwell's Toy Library, the RSA and the SeniorNet occupy rooms within the complex. The extensively landscaped Memorial Gardens are located on the eastern side of the hall from which there are great views of the Old Cromwell precinct, the Kawarau Arm, Lake Dunstan and the Junction.

The hall is used for a range of activities, including social functions, weddings, indoor bowls, karate, small-bore rifle shooting, ballet, community meetings, musicals, exhibitions, ANZAC Day Services and community events. Temporary seating is available for the main hall and supper room if required.

Lowburn Hall

Besides Lake Dunstan and about 5kms north of Cromwell on State Highway 6, Luggate-Cromwell Road, is the quiet rural settlement of Lowburn.

The Lowburn Community Hall, which is located on the shores of the Lowburn Inlet, was opened in 1989. The new hall replaced the original hall that was demolished along with the original Lowburn township as part of the formation of Lake Dunstan and the flooding of the area.

The new hall comprises of a main hall area of about 120m2 (without a stage), a supper room, a modernised kitchen and toilets facilities. The facility is suited to small to medium sized events and functions and has recently had acoustics panels installed to improve sound qualities.

A children's playground is located adjacent to the hall building.

The hall is owned and managed by the Lowburn Hall Committee.

Tarras War Memorial Community Centre

Approximately 30km north of Cromwell on State Highway8, is the farming settlement of Tarras. Located on the northern outskirts adjacent to the Tarras Recreation Reserve is the Tarras War Memorial Community Centre. Opened in July 1971 after the previous hall was destroyed by fire, this large facility consists of a main hall with a stage, a supper room with kitchen, an entrance foyer, changing rooms and toilet facilities.

A children's playground is located adjacent to the hall.

The hall is managed by the Tarras Hall Committee and all enquiries should be made directly to the Committee.
