Overweight & Overdimension Permits
Heavy vehicles exceeding 44000kg, or Council bridge posting limits, are not allowed to operate on CODC roads unless they are eligible for one of the following:
- Overweight permit
- Overdimension permit
- High productivity motor vehicles (HPMVs) permit
Overweight Permits
Central Otago District Council issues overweight permits directly. Applications are reviewed to confirm if the vehicle, load, and route are eligible. Additional conditions may apply in some cases.
